SUNRISE AT SETUMBU HILL
Start your day early with a short hike to Setumbu Hill, located about 4 kilometers from Borobudur Temple. From the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Borobudur rising through the morning mist, with Mount Merapi and Mount Merbabu in the background.

PLACES YOU WILL VISIT
Borobudur Temple
This 9th-century Buddhist monument is the largest of its kind in the world. Built by the Sailendra Dynasty, Borobudur is a spiritual masterpiece designed to guide pilgrims toward enlightenment. It was rediscovered in 1814 and fully uncovered in 1835.
Pawon and Mendut Temples
These smaller temples are aligned with Borobudur and are believed to be spiritually connected. Though the original pilgrimage rituals remain a mystery, they are considered important stops on a sacred route.
Prambanan Temple
This is Indonesia’s largest Hindu temple complex, dating back to the 9th century. Dedicated to the Hindu Trimurti – Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer – it is a perfect place to end the day with a beautiful sunset.

08.30 - Arrive at Borobudur ticket counter and queue for temple climb
